Bells of Peace at First Congregational Church

          Special Bell Ringing on November 11, 2018, at 11:00 am.  Handbell musicians across America are invited to toll bells in their communities to commemorate the centennial of the armistice that brought an end to hostilities in what Americans ferve

We watched the sunset as we joined  together in worship and song for Wednesday evenings Vespers on the bluff. What a beautiful way to feel close to God as the cool breeze calmed our souls and opened our hearts.

Vespers is a sunset evening prayer service in the Orthodox, Roman Catholic and Eastern C

The celebration for Pastor Dick’s 25 years of service at First Congregational Church UCC was well attended by both friends and family. Thank you to Sue Murphey for planning this event.

The final summer BLAST will be held at Pilgrim Haven
Beach. (This is located on 18th Avenue, off of 77th Street).
This is the site of the former church camp that was op-
erated by the United Church of Christ. There is good parking
and easy access to the beach on a concrete path.

Due to the two services through the summer, we are trying something new. For the next two weeks (July 8th and 15th) we will be having the 10:30 worship service in the Chapel. Patrica will be playing for us and perhaps our voices won’t get lost in the rafters.
