Next Book Study to Begin March 7th
The book that we’ll be reading will be Faith Unraveled: How a Girl Who Knew All the Answers Learned How to Ask Questions, by Rachel Held Evans.
“Using, as an illustration, her own spiritual journey from certainty to doubt to faith, Evans challenges us to disentangle our faith from false fundamentals, and to trust in a God who is big enough to handle our tough questions. In a changing cultural environment, where new ideas seem to threaten the safety and security of the faith, Faith Unraveled is a fearlessly honest story of survival.”
Art Ayers will be leading the group, and the day and time will remain the same, Sundays at 3 pm via Zoom. Consider this your invitation and, if you’d like to join the group, please contact Mike Tupper, Victoria, or Art Ayers.
Good News For Hard Times – a DVD Lent series
The church will be offering an in-person class on Wednesdays at 1:00 pm during the five weeks of March, to begin on March 3rd in Fellowship Hall.
Each class will start with a half-hour DVD presentation of one of the gospels by professor Bart Erdman from his Great Courses class, “The New Testament”. This will be followed by a half-hour discussion.
In interested, please call Mike Tupper or John Gillett or show up on Wednesdays in March.
